Key Learning Outcomes

MODULE 1 – MANAGING AND EFFECTIVELY DEALING WITH DATA
• Understand data types, and common inconsistencies or problems with imported data.
• Learn tools like Text to Column for managing data inconsistency, and formula functions to clean up data
• • Understand the TABLE feature and its importance as a dynamic dataset for Pivot Tables, and other Spreadsheet features

MODULE 2 – ANALYSIS WITH FUNCTIONS AND FORMULAS – UPDATED FOR OFFICE 365!
• Introducing important Formula concepts (NEW) – Spilled Array Formulas in Microsoft 365
• Introducing some new Functions (NEW) – SEQUENCE, UNIQUE and SORT as Dynamic Arrays
• A brief look at VLOOKUP as a SPILLED array formula an Introduction to Excel’s newest lookup, the XLOOKUP function (Office 365 only)  – Office 365 only

MODULE 3 – ANALYTICAL TOOLS – PIVOT TABLES
• Working with PIVOT TABLES –
o Maintaining Data discipline
o Manipulating Pivot Table Fields including Report Filters
o Pivot Table based report creation

TIPS and TRICKS Module
o Various Tips and Tricks spread throughout the workshop including Flash Fill, Keyboard Shortcuts and more

Important Instructions:

• Office 365 will be used in the workshop demonstration. Participants are welcome to use older versions, but some differences may exist. Microsoft Office Starter Edition will not be adequate
